What are notifications?

This article gives a simple explanation of what a notification in Loopfront is.

You can get notifications in Loopfront when there are any updates to orders and listings that might be relevant for you. Notifications are displayed in the bell-icon in the top right of the Loopfront-platform next to your user-profile.

Settings for notifications

You can chose when you would like to get notifications and how. To adjust your notification settings, click on your profile in the top right corner. Then you will get a drop-down menu where you can click on "My settings" and then go to the "Notifications" tab. Here you can click on the buttions to manage your settings. You can chose what types of notifications you want and if you only want notifications in Loopfront or by email as well.

When the button is green it means that the notification is turned on, if the button is gray it means that the notification is turned off.



You can get notifications for the following updates in Loopfront:

  • Account notifications (Notifications for new requests to join your organization)
  • Order created (When someone has ordered a product that you have listed on your organizations internal marketplace or on the external marketplace) By turning on email notifications, you can get order confirmations by email.
  • Order status changed (Both the buyer and the seller will get new notifications when there has been a status change on the order)
  • Order message created (Notifications for order messages)
  • Expired listings (When your listings on the internal or external marketplace has expired)
  • Wanted materials (Notifications for wanted material matches)
  • Saved searches ( Notifications for saved searches match)

  • Questions on your listings (Notifications for new questions on your listings)
  • Questions on all listings you have access to (Notifications for new questions on all listings that you have access to)
  • Answers to your questions (Notifications for new answers to questions you submitted about listings)

See notifications

When you get a notification you will see a red dot next to the bell-icon in the top right corner of Loopfront. You will also be notified by email if you have turned on email-notifications in your settings (see section above for how to manage your notification settings).

By clicking on the notification bell, a slide-in-window will appear to the right and show your notifications. Scroll down to see all notifications which are filtered by unread and read in the tabs (buttons) on the top of the notification-window. Here you will see a summary of all your notifications and you can click the "view" button to see more details.
