Successful Moving: Empty when emigrating a location

A typical use case for using Loopfront is the case of relocating your business to a new location. But sometimes the movement cannot or will not consist of both moving employees and moving furniture, IT equipment, and inventory assets. It could be the case that a quick emptying of your former location is the better option for you. Loopfront can assist with this choice in a good and sufficient way through our user setup flexibility and administration.

Use case:
Emigrating a location
Recommended goal (KPI):
X% of surveyed materials are reused at other locations.
(Possibly both new location and other locations)
Key players:
Internal stakeholders for reuse, project leader
(Poissbly interior architect if some belongings will be routed to the new location)
Needed locations: 5-100 (depending on the number of receivers/purchasers)

So, what are the important steps to success?

  1. Ensure to anchor goals and ambitions with the management.
  2. Set aside capacity for the survey or hire surveyors from fitting competence. Surveyors can be:
    1. Internals
    2. Consultants
    3. Interior architects
    4. Moving responsible
    5. Students or pupils
  3. Define and identify your internal stakeholders. This could often be:
    • Department head
    • Project leaders
    • Caretakers
    • Leaders/employees with purchasing rights
  4. Onboard all project participants on the goal and ambition of the project, and also in the Loopfront platform. They will naturally participate as Buyers in your ecosystem, ordering advertised and available products from the donating location that are to be emptied.
  5. Set a date for when the location needs to be emptied and communicate well with your stakeholders. Include external stakeholders if relevant.
  6. Set guidelines for what each buyer/stakeholder has to do and prepare in terms of practical conditions. An example could be to stand for own freight/logistics by renting a truck or van and traveling to the donating location for pick-up.
  7. Ensure that each buyer/stakeholder has at least one location that they have access to so they are able to place orders in Loopfront.
