Update placement or move objects in inventory

How to set or update the placement of an existing object in inventory

You can update the placement of already registered objects by using the move functionality. This is useful if an object has been physically moved, or if you want to set its exact location in the floor plan afterwards. You can use the moving functionality:

A) For multiple products at the same time in the objects list view in inventory

B) For objects of the same product, by clicking on the product in the product view in inventory.

Here’s how to move the object(s)

  1. Select the object(s) you want to update by clicking on the "Select(+) button).

  2. Here you can adjust the amount in the quantity box, before clicking on "actions". and then “Move location.”

  3. Choose the new location for the object(s).

  4. If you want to set the placement in the floor plan, click on the "chose placement"-button and set the placement in the floorplan.

  5. Important: If you are moving the object(s) from one place to another because it is going to be reused in the new placement, click on the "count savings"-checkbox. The reuse will then be registered in your savings reports.

    Do not check “Include savings,” if you are only updating information or temporary moving an object for storing and not actual reuse.

When you click "move", the object’s new position will be updated.
