How to merge similar registrations into one product
If you have surveyed items in Loopfront before 2025, you most likely have several similar items in your inventory spread across locations. Now you can merge these similar surveyings into one product to get an overview of how many similar objects you have - across locations. Be sure to only merge products that are the exact same or duplicates of each other.
You will see the products in your inventory by clicking on the "product" symbol in the top left corner in the inventory overview.
When you click on the "products"-tab in inventory, you will get a pop-up-guide showing you how "products" and "objects" work and how to merge similar "material cards" into "products".
Click through the guide to learn more. When you get the idea of how it words and don't want to see the guide again, click on the box "don't show this again" before you click on "Let's begin".
Now you can start to merge similar "material cards" into "products. Find similar "material cards" in inventory, by scrolling or filtering. Then click on the "Select"-button to select those you would like to merge.
For example, you can see that we have two "material cards" of chairs with different titles in our inventory, but they are the exact same model.
Click on the similar "material cards" that you would like to merge, so that they are marked in green. To deselect items, click on them again, so that they are not marked in green, or click on the "Cancel X"-button to deselect all.
To continue merging "material cards", click on the "Select action"-button, and then "merge 2 products".
A merging guide will appear. Click through the guide to learn more. When you get the idea of how it works and don't want to see the guide again, click on the box "don't show this again" before you click on "Let's begin".
Note: Only merge products that are the exact same or duplicates of each other.
Only products with the same unit can be merged together.
If products have values that differ, choose the correct value to keep for the final product.
You will now be able to chose which values that you want to keep for the final merged product. Only the values that have different info will be shown, while the similar ones will automatically be added to the merged product.
Chose between the different values by clicking on the button next to the value you want to keep for the merged product, so that its marked in green. Click on "Next" to go to the next value.
When you have chosen all the values you want to keep for the merged product, click on "finalize merge" and the products will be merged into one with the values you have chosen. To cancel the merging, click on "Cancel" in the top right corner.
